Utah Department of Health and Human Services: Division of Population Health (DPH) Internship Program

Description: The DPH Internship Program offers students hands-on experience along with professional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Interns contribute to meaningful public health projects while gaining practical skills that complement their academic studies. Intern projects are program-specific, and placements each semester are determined by program capacity and project needs.

Who Can Apply: Undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in public health.

Application Timeline: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Compensation: Compensation, if offered, is determined by the program in which the intern is placed. All paid internship opportunities within the department are posted on the State of Utah Job Opportunities website as they become available.  Applicants are encouraged to use the ‘Internship’ job type filter when searching for available positions.
